The tradition wants that every natural area
is populated by a multitude of large and small beings:
gnomes, elfs, goblins, fairies, ogres, etc.
Also Carnia (the area where we live) does not
escapesuch tradition and proposes its fantastic creatures, whose history and exploits,
now hostile, then
benevolentin towards men, are the basis of most numerous
storys and legends, which have been orally handed
down from generation to generation.
Between these mythical creatures exists an elf
the Maciarot , or Mazzarot according to the
local speech, who lives the forest areas of our
alpine valleys. He is a very quick and intelligent elf, a
little sly and who loves to make jokes to anyone is getting
into his territories. However he is always a dynamic, active
and positive being, and these are the features we have
considered in
searching for a name to our engagement of breeders.
Engagement which is aimed to grow up beings
with the
absolute respect of animal's health , through a meticulous
study of the breeds that link the morphologic and characterial profile, the sanitary profile, attention to the standards of race, aiming
to maintain our subjects in the best physical and psychical
conditions.
Why the Golden retriever and the Irish
wolfhound?
The golden retriever is a wonderful dog, easy
to train, with a lively temperament and balanced,
without behavioural problems, never aggressive to such an
extent to become extremely adapted to living in family and,
at the end unequalled concerning elegance.
The Irish wolfhound for the fascination of
this majestic breed, with a deep, human look, and why
not, also with the presumption of a return to the past. Carnia
region takes its name exactly from a Celtic tribe, the
Carni, who lived here before the coming of the Romans.
In these years of habitual visiting of
cynophilist environments and manifestations we got to know wonderful
persons, joined by this great passion, and with the same
ones we shared moments more or little joyous, but always with
the principle to start again by every test and by every litter.
Special thanks to Dino Molinari (Aurens)
for the willingness, the knowledge and the advices he has given
and goes on giving us.
